ARE YOU STILL STRUGGLING WITH ELBOW DISCOMFORT?

Two prevalent conditions can cause pain around the elbow joint during finger and wrist movements.

Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis)

Tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, results from overuse of the muscles and tendons in the forearm and elbow. Pain typically radiates from the outside of the elbow to the wrist and fingers. Repetitive actions like gripping, hammering, and lifting often contribute to this condition.

Golfers Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis)

Pain around the inner side of the elbow, extending to the wrist and fingers, characterizes golfer's elbow. Similar to tennis elbow, this condition arises from overuse of forearm and elbow muscles and tendons.

Common Symptoms of Tennis and Golfer’s Elbow:

  • Pain around the outer elbow during gripping, lifting, or arm straightening
  • Weak grip strength
  • Discomfort when turning a doorknob or shaking hands
  • Tenderness and pain when touching the outside of the elbow
  • Pain radiating from the elbow down the forearm into the wrist and fingers
